Great Class on Tech/Curriculum Integration

What a wonderful class!

It was quite rewarding to have the discussions that we had this evening. It shows that you were all participating and that you had a stake in what was being said.

Change in education lies at your feet. Whether you use technology or not, you are the leaders of tomorrow. It is your responsibility to develop your vision of education and to share it with others. You can only assume this task if you are continually learning and challenging yourself to improve.

Congratulations, you have picked up the gauntlet by earning your masters degree. You are almost there. Can you feel the difference in your thirst for knowledge and your feeling of achievement?

I seem to be waxing poetically (or not) but you can attribute that to my feeling of success today. Can't beat a good day of teaching.

Some of you felt the "Oh Cool" exclamation arise from your throat as you watched the short videos that I shared from Edutopia this evening. Good for you. I hope that you follow your inspiration to learn all that you can about 1:1 computing or whatever it is that you find exciting.

Here are some opportunities that I offer you:

1) Respond to this posting with your own responses. How did you feel about this class tonight? What questions (or answers) are running around in your brain? Where do you go from here?

2) As I promised, I have posted the 8th Grade Performance Indicators to our TC wiki.
Please visit that page and add the outcomes that you would expect of a 13-year-old to prove that he or she is technologically-proficient.

Let's see how this blog works. Should be interesting.
